Moving to Bend

Ready or not.  Here they come.

Nobody can deny it.  Bend is growing.

And the growth doesn't look to stop anytime soon.  The same reasons so many of us love Bend, are the same reasons countless newcomers from Washington, California, Colorado, and every other state are flocking to Central Oregon to make this place their new home.

If you're currently on the outside looking in, hopefully this site (and this post in particular) can help out as you plan your big move to our little piece of paradise here, nestled up against the cascade mountains.

A couple of the first places many incoming residents need help have to do with where they work and where they sleep.  Because so many moving to Bend bring their jobs with them, the coworking scene is thriving and new coworking offices are popping up almost monthly it seems.  We'd recommend checking out the following coworking spaces in Bend.  Take an in-person tour the next time you're in town, or simply drop them an email to let them know you might be interested (and confirm there's actually availability as many of the local coworking establishments have a history of filling up quickly).

Blog Bend's Recommended Housing Pros

  • Home Loan Specialist | Aaron Callahan | Churchill Mortgage
  • Real Estate Broker | Cole Billings | Duke Warner Realty

Coworking Spaces

  • The Haven
  • BendTech (currently the only coworking space offering punch cards)

Maker Studios

  • DIY Cave
  • Make South Bend

Of course, we know you've got so many other things on your list while planning your move to Bend.  Let us know how we can help.

Useful to know about recommended coworking spaces; do you happen to know whether any spaces in Bend offer a good punch-card system rather than day passes or monthly?

Great question, Andrew! While most of the local cowering spaces offer Day Passes and other more flexible plans, BendTech is currently one of the few offering a punch card that is NOT a "use-it-or-lose-it" after the calendar month comes to an end, like most of the Flex memberships provided by other spaces. So, looks like BendTech is currently your best bet, and at the time of your question, they've got punch cards for sale here >>> https://bendtech.com/virtual-office-space/ (also worth noting that some of the local maker spaces like DIY Cave and Make South Bend also offer punch cards, but these spaces are more setup for craftsmen such as jewelry makers, artists, metal works and wood workers)
